Taru features a one-of-a-kind cabochon of chrysocolla with native copper inclusions—a gemstone highly sought after by collectors for its vivid color and naturally occurring metallic striations. The stone is part of a limited discovery from Obi Island in North Maluku, Indonesia, where Batu Kawat (or “wire stone”) was unearthed from a small, now-depleted deposit.

Suspended in translucent chalcedony, the stone contains visible threads of native copper, with the presence of chrysocolla, malachite, and cuprite—a rare geological combination that cannot be replicated.

The ring’s clean, open silhouette in warm gold was designed to honor the material, not overshadow it. This is not a pattern. It’s a moment—formed by the Earth and impossible to recreate.
